By 2002 he had been in a state of neglect for many
years, His head had come off, his stuffing had settled
and compacted, he had a tear in his body etc..
Repairs were done as follows:-
New stuffing added to arms, head and body as required.
New cotter pins for left arm and head as the originals
had rust on them.
A new cardboard growler replaced the none working
original.
Small pieces of felt were pushed through holes on
the left side pads to fill them. The pressure of
the stuffing holds them in place, no glue has been
used.
Nose and mouth have been redone.
I don't think these pictures show the finished
repairs.
