Richard Steiff planned a trip to the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1903 and the result was a hundred years of success for a lovable playfellow. As a tribute to this fateful journey, the Steiff delivery cart is made to our high quality standards in a small Bavarian craft shop. Modeled from the original on a scale of 1:18, it is lovingly made by hand from over 100 parts and in 250 steps and a master craftsman checks every single one. Three friendly 12 cm tall german mohair Teddy bears stuffed with wood shavings, one cinnamon in a grey jacket, one caramel with black waistcoat and white apron and one white with a blue apron , accompany the cart-the driver and two loaders in the style of the period around 1900. Each bear has a gold plated ear button and white label.

The cart was damaged while on display in a shop in Newcastle - it fell off a high shelf.
It has been stripped down and the bent parts straightened and repainted where required.
